Hi! I'm Chirayu Kothari, a PhD candidate in the Garg Group at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, advised by Prof. Nishant Garg. My research focuses on chemistry of Construction Materials.
I earned my Master's in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in August 2021, where I was a member of the Concrete Lab under the supervision of Prof. Yuya Takahashi. My research focused on chemo-thermal-hygral modeling of Delayed Ettringite Formation, a concrete durability challenge. I completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad in 2019.
